Why we are pushing for Positive Power?
As the climate crisis continues to worsen, we think it’s time for a new approach.
A Positive Power upgrade is possible, and we need to ask for it today. In a speech to students at Oxford University in summer 2023, Dr Andrew Forrest AO explained why:

The Positive Power Plan has been developed in response to mounting scientific evidence of the accelerating impacts of global warming and the rising threat of high humidity levels. It is a practical plan for leaders to encourage green energy projects while strongly discouraging the use of fossil fuels.
We already know that the compounding effects of high temperatures and high humidity can be life threatening, and its rise is directly linked to global warming. When this type of environment is inflicted on people at a national level it is called ‘Lethal Humidity’. Drawn from consultation with some of the world’s leading academic institutions, climate scientists, engineers and economists, the Positive Power Plan identifies the economic steps needed to achieve the twin objectives of development with decarbonization, so we can finally put a stop to fossil fuels.
